The Curve of Time is a 1961 memoir by M. Wylie Blanchet about her summer trips with her five children up and down the coast of BC and surrounding islands in the 1920s-1930s. She recorded the wonder of her children at the natural world and the endless adventures through the oceans, snowfields, and forests of Canada’s West Coast. Plenty of dreamy content for fans of the Pacific Northwest, the Sunshine Coast and the Gulf Islands. This is one of the great maritime classics of travel writing and it’s amazing that we get to live in such a beautiful part of the world.
